Christmas is all about making our loved ones happy. And, quite often, we feel that adopting a pet may be the ultimate Christmas gift. 

However, it pays to keep in mind that pets aren’t toys; instead, they’re living creatures just as much in need of love and attention as humans. 

Adopting a pet is a serious undertaking and demands careful planning. Do we really have the time, resources and sense of responsibility to guarantee their well-being?  That’s why Little Shelter urges all of us to think carefully before offering a pet as a gift.
