The Covid-19 pandemic affected everyone in Greece and around the world. However, several groups were even less fortunate than others; these included the street vendors of “sxedia” magazine, a publication which is sold by--and directly benefits--the homeless. As the restrictions greatly limited the number of passersby, sales dropped significantly. Finding new ways to boost circulation quickly became urgent.
Realising that people were spending a lot more time at home and online, we enabled them to subscribe to the digital version of the magazine. More importantly, we encouraged them to act as “sxedia” vendors themselves, all from the safety of their homes.
