Can you handle the truth?
With their income reduced by as much as 50% due to the financial crisis, a lot of ActionAid’s Child Sponsorship Program supporters decided to exit the program. But if people really knew just how important their support was, they would surely change their minds, right?
So we organised a trip to Africa for three ex-supporters who got to see with their own eyes the difference their contributions make to people’s lives. Then we took them on a tour of the areas still suffering, all-the-while documenting their reactions. And, finally, we combined all the material to create a short video.
As a result, the campaign managed to not only stop people from exiting the program but also attracted new contributors.
